Jude Woodgyer
Jude Woodgyer is an experienced singer/songwriter and songleader who hails from the creative, and alternative thinking, Cotswolds town of Stroud in England. Jude has been singing and performing in bands, acapella harmony groups, duos, choirs, and singing solo for the past 40 years.
Emigrating to Levin in NZ with her family in 2016, Jude has been an active member of the Levin Folk Music Club ever since. Performing locally with various different bands, and also performing solo or providing harmonies for other acts at local muso nights.
That same year Jude became an active member and is now co-director, with Anne-Marie Stapp, of Sing Out Levin - a local community choir who meet weekly on Friday mornings. They also sing out in the local community several times a year.

Since May 2016, Jude has been an active member of the Song Leaders Network Aotearoa, and she is now on the new committee - who are working towards getting up and running again - rebuilding our network after the effects of the Covid19 pandemic.
Having a fun-loving, laid-back approach and a passion for singing in all it's glorious shapes and forms, Jude has a wide and varied repertoire of songs from many different genres including world music, pop, classical, spiritual, gospel, Taize, barbershop, rounds, chants, seasonal songs etc
Rather than following sheet music, her main style of leading songs is by ear and using a 'call and response' technique where singers will listen to phrases of songs and then repeat it back; also using hand gestures and physical movement to indicate the changes of dynamics within the song.
Jude just loves to sing, and wants to get everybody singing together! She has founded various singing groups over the years - leading and arranging acapella harmony songs for fun, and performing them locally and also runs her own Acapella Jude Singing Workshops working with groups in the Horowhenua area.
