„HEIMATLOSE LIEDER finden ein Zuhause“ von AQUABELLA

HOMELESS SONGS find a home" by AQUABELLA

As one of Germany's most renowned female vocal ensembles, Aquabella presents almost forgotten languages, enchanting melodies and ingenious arrangements in a magnificent stage performance that makes every concert a visual and aural delight.

Where do I come from? Where do I belong? In their new program, AQUABELLA A CAPPELLA, probably Germany's most renowned female vocal ensemble, lets songs resound from countries that no longer exist, in languages that are almost forgotten, or tell of people who are without a home. On "HEIMATLOSE LIEDER finden ein Zuhause" songs can be heard like - politically highly topical - the farewell song of a Ukrainian mother or the Hebrew L`dor vador, which reminds of the really important things in life. But the AQUABELLA also sing the songs of the almost forgotten mountain people Bunun in Taiwan or the world-famous "Helele", which did not just travel around the globe for the soccer World Cup 2012. The five singers also deal with their own sense of home. On their search for traces, they encountered the legendary GDR song by Nina Hagen "Du hast den Farbfilm vergessen" (You forgot the color film), which AQUABELLA interprets in its usual ironic way. "Oj Gora ta kaninova" tells equally for Slovenians and Italians from the Résital about the deepest attachment to the native

landscape. With "HEIMATLOSE LIEDER finden ein Zuhause" AQUABELLA has again succeeded in creating a real work of art. The almost forgotten languages, enchanting melodies and ingenious arrangements make this program a unique viewing and listening experience. AQUABELLA see themselves as ambassadors and mediators of cultural traditions. "Because music and language are anchors and identity of every people", the singers emphasize. For this reason, the ensemble has always collected musical gems on their travels and at home, which flow into their programs as favorite songs. As storytellers with a captivating stage presence, ingenious entertainment and, how could it be otherwise, cool outfits, the vocal graces convince no matter where they are; at festivals, in churches or theater halls.

AQUABELLA sing in twenty languages and have won international awards. On more than 900 concerts they already enthused their audience at home and abroad. "HEIMATLOSE LIEDER finden ein Zuhause" is their eighth program. Nadja Dehn, Anett Levander, Nina Gronich, Maria Tomaschke and Bettina Stäbert will sing.
