“Songs for Coming Home” Lullabies & Blessings

Singing in harmony with others is always a wonderous thing but singing lullabies and blessings is special. These songs are about connection. Lullabies and blessings “carry over” love, generosity, compassion and empathy, gratitude and trust, between singers and hearers. And they are meant to be sung by regular people, like you and me!

If you are newer to singing, you will find that each song has a strong, natural melody that you can sing and take away.

If you are an experienced singer, I hope to entice you with delicious harmonies too.

We will sing lullabies & blessings from the UK, Croatia, Karelia, Taizé, and premier a blessing song composed by local musician Jen Whittington.

You will be provided with a booklet of scores and lyric sheets, but I will be teaching, as is my usual style, using traditional, call and response.

Included in the day will be a short performance from my quartet, Heartsachord.
