Celebrating the Inner Rebel and Harmony Hunter

My soul sister Bec is a warrior for the earth, the people and creativity, when I saw her beautiful post on Facebook I asked if I could celebrate her work. Based in the Margaret River area in Australia, a couple of things jumped out of me that I thought you might enjoy as much as I do. What awesome choirs, yessss! How do we not want to shout about awesome things happening in the world, in the name of community, peace, connection and solidarity. I often find inspiration can have such a profound ripple effect in how in touches the lives of others. I hope you find this as uplifting as I do, sending all the love from NZ to the Rebel Choir and Harmony Hunters for their continued success. Claire

Singing up in Solidarity

This time last week my Rebel Choir was warming up for our ‘Singing Up in Solidarity’ event. Gosh it was such a joy !! Twas THE BEST medicine for all our aching hearts to sing together as a community Alchemy in the resonant Timbers of the old Druids hall on Witchy there was laughter, tears & a bunch of funds raised for Social Reinvestment WA Amnesty International & for local healing centre Nala Boodja Eco Clan.

First official performance by my brave & beautiful Rebel Choir So incredibly proud of every one of these women. Many who have overcome so much to do this. Also our first time singing with the wonderful Mens choir - The Harmony Hunters !who were incredible ! Singing ‘both sides the tweed’ together with them was a highlight. Huge thanks to guests of honour & giver of words & wisdom for the Nala Jenna Biddi Wah song Wayne Webb & Wayne Toni Webb to Poppy for her wonderful witchy flowers to Lesley at Druids Hall & to all of those folk who donated, helped, baked, sang & gathered raffle prizes.

Neen Oxenham Kyllie Deltondo Caralynn Hoft The Nomadics Divvy Gibson Joanna Gibbs Ruth Foley Ange & everyone else who supported this event. We all went home with local honey, garden produce, bunches of flowers & full hearts. Here’s a few snaps & some footage by an 9 year old Frida. Boola Koorda/Plenty Love.
